NHSA H6/H7 Hoboken Phase 3 Construction and Traffic Management Activities: Monday, March 23 to Friday, March 27, 2026
Project Overview
The goal of the project is to reduce combined sewer overflows (CSO’s) and improve the water quality of the Hudson River. As part of the project, new storm sewer lines and curb inlets will be installed which will alleviate drainage and potential flooding issues in the northern H6 and H7 drainage basins in Hoboken.

The following construction activities and traffic management are anticipated to take place from Monday, March 23 to Friday, March 27, 2026, by the NHSA - H6/H7 Phase 3 Project:
Construction Activities:
Pipeline Crew #1:
Clinton Street between 15th Street and 16th Street
Installation of piles, pile caps, and pipe cradles
Installation of storm sewer pipe, manholes, and inlets
16th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Street
Installation of piles and pile caps
Installation of storm sewer pipe, manholes, and inlets
Pipeline Crew #2:
13th Street between Adams Street and Clinton Street
Installation of piles, pile caps, pipe cradles, and structures
Installation of storm sewer pipe, manholes, and inlets
Restoration Crews:
14th Street between Grand Street and Clinton
Sidewalk and Curb restoration
16th Street and Adams Street Intersection
Sidewalk and Curb restoration
16th Street and Jefferson Street
Sidewalk and Curb restoration
15th Street and Clinton Street
Sidewalk and Curb restoration
Traffic Management:
Clinton Street between 15th Street and 16th Street
Road to be closed 24 hours, 7 days/week
Grand Street between 14th and 12th Street
Road closed to thru traffic, local traffic only (8 am to 6 pm)
Roadway changed to 2-Way traffic (north and south) on Grand Street between 14th to 13th Street to allow access to resident garages.
14th Street between Grand Street and Clinton Street
Road to be closed 24 hours, 7 days/week
Access provided to local residents and KL Masters only
16th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Street
Road closed to traffic (8 am to 6 pm) and road open to traffic (6 pm to 8 am)
Access provided to local residents and businesses
Traffic detoured westbound on 16th Street
13th Street between Adams Street and Grand Street
Road closed to thru traffic, local traffic only (8 am to 6 pm)
Access to 13th Street parking garages and local residents will be accessed from Adams Street
13th Street between Grand Street and Clinton Street
Road closed to thru traffic, local traffic only (8 am to 6 pm)
Access to 13th Street parking garages and local residents will be accessed from Clinton Street
13th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Avenue
Roadway changed to 2-Way traffic (east and west) on 13th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Avenue
Road open to traffic
Temporary Parking Impacts:
Grand Street between 13th and 14th Street
East side: No parking (24/7)
West side: Temporary no parking (24/7); 150 feet north of 13th Street and Grand intersection
Grand Street between 13th and 12th Street
East and West side: Temporary no parking (24/7); 150 feet South of 13th Street and Grand intersection
13th Street between Adams Street and Willow Avenue
Temporary No parking both sides of 13th Street (24/7)
Clinton Street between 15th Street and 16th Street
Temporary no parking both sides of 15th Street (24/7)
16th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Street
