NHSA H6/H7 Hoboken Phase 3 Construction and Traffic Management Activities: Monday, April 27 to Saturday, May 2, 2026
Project Overview
The goal of the project is to reduce combined sewer overflows (CSO’s) and improve the water quality of the Hudson River. As part of the project, new storm sewer lines and curb inlets will be installed which will alleviate drainage and potential flooding issues in the northern H6 and H7 drainage basins in Hoboken.
Key Phases & Timeline
The following construction activities and traffic management are anticipated to take place from Monday, April 27 to Saturday, May 2, 2026 by the NHSA - H6/H7 Phase 3 Project:
Construction Activities:
Pipeline Crew #1:
Clinton Street and 16th Street Intersection
Repair of the 48-inch Outfall Pipeline
13th Street between Adams Street and Grand Street
Installation of new 8-inch watermain
Installation of inlets
Pipeline Crew #2:
13th Street between Adams Street and Clinton Street
Installation of piles, pile caps, and pipe cradles
Installation of storm sewer pipe, manholes, and inlets
Restoration Crews:
14th Street between Grand Street and Clinton
Installation of the Cobblestone roadway
15th Street between Adams Street and Clinton Street
Cobblestone removal (north and south curblines)
Installation of asphalt pavement
Jefferson Street between 13th Street and 15th Street
Sidewalk and Curb restoration
Grand Street between 13th Street and 15th Street
Sidewalk and Curb restoration
Traffic Management:
16th Street and Clinton Street Intersection
Road open to traffic
Grand Street between 14th and 12th Street
Road closed to thru traffic, local traffic only (8 am to 6 pm)
Roadway changed to 2-Way traffic (north and south) on Grand Street between 14th to 13th Street to allow access to resident garages.
14th Street between Grand Street and Clinton Street
Road to be closed 24 hours, 7 days/week
Access provided to local residents and KL Masters only
13th Street between Adams Street and Grand Street
Road closed to thru traffic, local traffic only (8 am to 6 pm)
Access to 13th Street parking garages and local residents will be accessed from Adams Street
13th Street between Grand Street and Clinton Street
Road closed to thru traffic, local traffic only (8 am to 6 pm)
Access to 13th Street parking garages and local residents will be accessed from Clinton Street
13th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Avenue
Roadway changed to 2-Way traffic (east and west) on 13th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Avenue
Road open to traffic
Adams Street between 14th Street and 15th Street
Roadway changed to 2-Way traffic (north and south) on Adams Street to accommodate the Academy Bus entrance/exit
Road open to traffic

East side: No parking (24/7)
West side: Temporary no parking (24/7)
Grand Street between 13th and 12th Street
East and West side: Temporary no parking (24/7); 150 feet South of 13th Street and Grand intersection
13th Street between Adams Street and Willow Avenue
Temporary No parking both sides of 13th Street (24/7)
Jefferson Street between 14th Street and 15th Street
Temporary no parking east and west side of Jefferson Street (6 am to 6 pm)
