Madison Street Infrastructure Improvements: Construction and Traffic Management Activities Week of November 17th
Madison Street Infrastructure Improvements
The Madison Street Area Infrastructure Improvements project has been undertaken to mitigate localized flooding from rain events. To accomplish this, the project scope includes replacing existing inlets and sewer lines as well as elevating roadways, curbs, and sidewalks within the area. Ultimately, these improvements will alleviate the primary concerns by conveying the stormwater into the sewer system.
The following work and traffic management activities are anticipated for Monday, Nov 17th through Friday, Nov 21st between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM:
Work Activities:
9th Street between Monroe Street and Madison Street
Complete installation of brick paver sidewalk on the north side of 9th Street.
Complete installation of Tree Pit guards on both sides of 9th Street.
Madison Street between 9th Street and 10th Street
Complete installation of Tree Pit guards on the east side of Madison Street.
Madison Street and 10th Street Intersection
Demo ADA ramps in front of Jefferson’s Coffee at the N/E corner of the intersection.
Pour ADA Ramps in front of Jefferson’s Coffee at the N/E corner of the intersection.
Reset existing brick pavers in front of Jefferson’s Coffee at the N/E corner of the intersection.
Traffic Management:
No Impact to existing traffic flow.
HPD will be on-site to assist with traffic management during construction.
Temporary Parking Impacts:
9th Street between Madison Street and Monroe Street
No parking on either side of the street (24/7)
Madison Street between 9th Street and 10th Street
No parking on either side of the street (24/7)
Madison Street between 10th Street and 11th Street
100% parking will be available on the east side of the street (24/7)
50% parking will be available on the west side of the street (24/7)
10th Street between Madison Street and Jefferson Street
No parking on the north side of the street (24/7)
