STATE GRANTS $2.3 MILLION FOR UPGRADES TO 5TH STREET PUMP STATION

We received a congratulatory letter from the lieutenant governor on behalf of Governor Murphy. It is in reference to the previously announced $2.3 million grant for critical repairs and upgrades to our 5th Street pump station in Hoboken.

The state grant will enable NHSA to accelerate its schedule and bring online more quickly the upgraded facility.  Once completed, this overhaul will improve dramatically protection against surge and wet weather flooding. The grant will also help to pay for the “hardening” of the pump station, as we raise critical controls, generators, and other electrical equipment well above potential flood lines.

Thanks to everyone who made it possible for us to secure this grant!
