Collection System Improvements Contract 3 - Week of August 18th, 2026

Purpose of Project:
Rehabilitation of approximately 4,700 linear feet of combined sewers, manholes and service connection in the Cities of Union City and West New York.

Key Phases & Timeline

• Sewer lining activities are expected to extend through the end of August 10th - 12th.

Timing and Location:

• Nighttime work 5pm to 5am:

  • 8/10 & 8/12 - 57th St. between Jackson St & Bergenline Ave.

  • 8/11 - Jackson St. from 57th St. up for 260 feet

  • 8/13 - Jackson St. between 65th St & 62nd St.

Traffic Information:

• Road Closures: Police will be onsite to close the streets if needed.

• Parking Restrictions: No Parking signs on both sides of the street.

• Detours: None

• Police Presence: Yes; two officers

Community Impacts:

• Noise/Disruptions: Sewer lining could produce some short duration noise.
