Madison Street Infrastructure Improvements
The Madison Street Area Infrastructure Improvements project has been undertaken to mitigate localized flooding from rain events. To accomplish this, the project scope includes replacing existing inlets and sewer lines as well as elevating roadways, curbs, and sidewalks within the area. Ultimately, these improvements will alleviate the primary concerns by conveying the stormwater into the sewer system.
The following work and traffic management activities are anticipated for Monday, Nov 3rd through Friday, Nov 7th between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.:
Work Activities:
9th Street between Monroe Street and Madison Street
Complete installation of brick paver sidewalk.
9th Street between Madison Street and Jefferson Street.
Demo existing curb and sidewalk on the south side of 9th Street.
Install curb and sidewalk on the south side of 9th Street.
Complete sidewalk installation on north side of 9th Street.
Madison Street between 9th Street and 10th Street.
Install brick paver sidewalk on the east side of Madison Street.
Install tree pit guards on the east side of Madison Street.
Madison Street and 10th Street.
Demo ADA ramps in front of 1000 Jefferson Coffee.
Pour ADA Ramps in front of 1000 Jefferson Coffee.
Reset brick pavers in front of 1000 Jefferson Coffee.
Traffic Management:
Intermittent closures for material and concrete deliveries.
HPD will be on-site to assist with traffic management during construction.
Temporary Parking Impacts:
9th Street between Madison Street and Monroe Street
No parking on either side of the street (24/7)
9th St between Madison and Jefferson St.
No Parking on Both Sides.
Madison Street between 9th Street and 10th Street
No parking on either side of the street (24/7)
Madison Street between 10th Street and 11th Street
100% parking will be available on the east side (24/7)
50% parking will be available on the west side (24/7)
