Madison Street Infrastructure Improvements: Construction and Traffic Management Activities Week of November 24th
Madison Street Infrastructure Improvements
The Madison Street Area Infrastructure Improvements project has been undertaken to mitigate localized flooding from rain events. To accomplish this, the project scope includes replacing existing inlets and sewer lines as well as elevating roadways, curbs, and sidewalks within the area. Ultimately, these improvements will alleviate the primary concerns by conveying the stormwater into the sewer system.
The following work and traffic management activities are anticipated for Monday, Nov 24th through Friday, Nov 28th between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM:
Work Activities:
9th Street between Monroe Street and Madison Street
Finish installation of Tree Pit guards on both sides of 9th Street.
Install new Trees on both sides of 9th Street.
Madison Street between 9th Street and 10th Street.
Finish Tree Pit guard installation on the east side of Madison Street.
Install new Trees on both sides of Madison Street.
Madison Street between 10th Street and 11th Street.
Finish Installation of Tree Pit Guards on both sides of Madison Street.
Install new Trees on both sides of Madison Street.
Traffic Management:
No Impact to existing traffic flow.
HPD will be on-site to assist with traffic management during construction.
Temporary Parking Impacts:
9th Street between Madison Street and Monroe Street
No parking on either side of the street (24/7)
Madison Street between 9th Street and 10th Street
No parking on either side of the street (24/7)
Madison Street between 10th Street and 11th Street
100% parking will be available on the east side (24/7)
50% parking will be available on the west side (24/7)
10th Street between Madison Street and Jefferson Street
No parking on the north side of the street (24/7)
