Collection System Improvements Contract 4 - Week of July 28th

Purpose of Project:
Rehabilitation of approximately 4,700 linear feet of combined sewers, manholes and service connection in the Cities of Union City and West New York.

• Late February, contractor mobilize to Park Avenue Siphon Chamber

Work Period & Location

• Daytime and Nighttime work, 7/28 thru 8/1:

• 7/28 – Daytime 7am to 2pm – CCTV of sanitary main on 52nd & 54thSt, West New York, cutting protruding laterals on Adams St, West New York.

• Nighttime 9pm to 4am – lining of sanitary main on 52nd St, West New York

• 7/29 - Nighttime 9pm to 4am – lining of sanitary main on 54th St, West New York

• 7/30 - Nighttime 9pm to 4am – lining of sanitary main on 52nd St, West New York

• 7/31 - Nighttime 9pm to 4am – lining of sanitary main on 52nd St, West New York

• Preparing sanitary main for lining

Traffic Information:

• Road Closures: Police will be onsite to close the streets if needed.

• Parking Restrictions: None

• Detours: None

• Police presence: Yes

• Noise/Disruptions: Sewer lining could produce some short duration noise.
