Collection System Improvements Contract 4 - Week of September 21, 2025
Purpose of Project:
Rehabilitation of approximately 4,700 linear feet of combined sewers, manholes and service connection in the Cities of Union City and West New York.
Key Phases/Timeline
Sewer lining activities are expected to extend through late-October/early November.
Work Locations
Monday – 9/21: No Work
Tuesday – 9/22: Nighttime (8pm start) – Preparing sanitary mains for lining in West New York
Wednesday – 9/23: Nighttime (8pm start) – Preparing sanitary mains for lining in West New York
Thursday – 9/24: No Work
Friday – 9/25: No Work

Preparing sanitary main for lining
Traffic Information:
Road Closures: Police will be onsite to close the streets if needed.
Parking Restrictions: No Parking signs on both sides of the street as needed
Detours: None
Police presence: Yes
Noise/Disruptions: Sewer lining could produce some short duration noise.
