NHSA H6/H7 Hoboken Phase 3 Construction and Traffic Management Activities: Monday, March 9 - Friday, March 13, 2026
Project Overview
The goal of the project is to reduce combined sewer overflows (CSO’s) and improve the water quality of the Hudson River. As part of the project, new storm sewer lines and curb inlets will be installed which will alleviate drainage and potential flooding issues in the northern H6 and H7 drainage basins in Hoboken.
Key Phases & Timeline
The following construction activities and traffic management are anticipated to take place from Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13, 2026, by the NHSA - H6/H7 Phase 3 Project:
Construction Activities:
Pipeline Crew #1:
15th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Avenue (North Side)
Installation of piles and pile caps
Installation of storm sewer pipe, manholes, and inlets
16th Street and Clinton Intersection
Installation of piles and pile caps
Installation of storm sewer pipe, manholes, and inlets
16th Street and Adams Street Intersection
Installation of storm sewer pipe, manholes, and inlets
Pipeline Crew #2:
Clinton Street between 15th Street and 16th Street
Installation of piles, pile caps, and pipe cradles
Installation of storm sewer pipe, manholes, and inlets
Restoration Crews:
14th Street between Grand Street and Clinton
Sidewalk and Curb restoration
Traffic Management:
Clinton Street between 15th Street and 16th Street
Road to be closed 24 hours, 7 days/week
16th Street and Clinton Street Intersection
Road closed to traffic (8 am to 6 pm) and road open to traffic (6 pm to 8 am)
Access provided to local residents and businesses
Traffic detoured westbound on 16th Street (8 am to 6 pm)
15th Street between Grand Street and Willow Avenue
Road open to traffic (24 hours, 7 days/week)
Grand Street between 13th and 14th Street
Road open to traffic
Roadway changed to 2-Way traffic (north and south) to allow access to resident garages.
14th Street between Grand Street and Clinton Street
Road to be closed 24 hours, 7 days/week
Access provided to local residents and KL Masters only
16th Street and Adams Street Intersection
Adams Street to be closed to traffic (8 am to 6 pm) on March 9, 2026.
Access provided to local traffic only
Roadway changed to 2-Way traffic (north and south) on Adams Street to allow access for parking
Traffic to be detoured to Jefferson Street or Grand Street (8 am to 6 pm)
Temporary Parking Impacts:
Grand Street between 13th and 14th Street
East side: No parking (24/7)
15th Street between Grand Street and Willow Avenue
Temporary no parking both sides of 15th Street (24/7)
13th Street between Adams Street and Grand Street
North side: No parking (6 am to 6 pm)
Clinton Street between 15th Street and 16th Street
Temporary no parking both sides of 15th Street (24/7)
16th Street and Adams Street Intersection
Adams Street: Temporary no parking both sides of Adams Street - 100 feet all directions of intersection on March 9, 2026
