NHSA H6/H7 Hoboken Phase 2 Construction and Traffic Management Activities: Week of August 18th

Project Overview
We’re continuing Phase 2 of the H6/H7 Project to enhance infrastructure reliability and improve stormwater management in Hoboken. This work will support long-term system efficiency and reduce maintenance needs.

Key Phases & Timeline

• Week of August 18th - 22nd, 2025

• Work Locations:

  • 13th Street between Adams and Jefferson Streets

  • Adams Street between 14th and 15th Streets

Construction Activities

• Electrical installation and plumbing installation for the pumps at the NWRP Pump Station on 13th Street between Adams and Jefferson Streets.

• Installation of subgrade and binder on Adams Street between 14th and 15th, and on the south side of 15th between Adams and Grand.

• Final Paving on Adams street between 13th and 15th streets. 

• Striping of all paved areas.

Traffic Management

• Adams will be closed between 13th and 15th on 8/18, 8/18 and 8/20/2025 during paving operations.  

• Adams Street between 13th and 15th Streets will be open to thru traffic one lane going northbound after paving operations are completed.

• When the Adams and 13th intersection is closed for paving, truck traffic entering the City from the north will be directed onto 15th street.  Truck traffic will need to turn left onto Jefferson, right onto 13th and left onto Madison.

• 15th Street will have 2-way traffic with the lanes shifting north between Adams and Grand. 

• HPD officers will be present at all intersections within work zones.

• Trucks will be prevented from turning from Willow onto 13th westbound when the Adams Street intersection is being paved.

• 24/7 no parking signs will be in place on both sides of Adams Street between 13th and 15th Streets.
