NHSA H6/H7 Hoboken Phase 3 Construction and Traffic Management Activities: July 14th – July 18th, 2025

Project Overview
The goal of the project is to reduce combined sewer overflows (CSO’s) and improve the water quality of the Hudson River. As part of the project, new storm sewer lines and curb inlets will be installed which will alleviate drainage and potential flooding issues in the northern H6 and H7 drainage basins in Hoboken.

Key Phases & Timeline

  • July 14th to July 18th, 2025

  • Holiday: July 4th:  No Scheduled Work

  • Work hours – 8:00am to 6:00pm

Description of work:

15th Street between Jefferson Street and Grand Street

  • No parking (24 hours, 7 days/week) signs will be placed on both sides  

  • Roadway closed to Eastbound traffic 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Eastbound traffic detoured to Jefferson Street and 16th Street

  • Westbound traffic of 15th is open during working hours

  • Academy Bus Services can access work area to enter/exit their parking lots.  

  • Buses must use Jefferson Street and 16th Street to exit all parking lots to proceed to Willow Street as 15th Street eastbound is closed to traffic.

13th Street between Jefferson and Madison

  • No parking (24 hours, 7 days/week) signs will be placed on both sides of the Street.

Jefferson Street between 13th Street and 14th Street  

  • No parking (24 hours, 7 days/week) both sides of the street  

Madison and Jefferson Street between 14th and 15th Street  

  • No parking (24 hours, 7 days/week) both sides of the streets  

  • Academy Bus Service re-configured entrance/exit routing

Grand Street between 15th and 16th Street

  • No parking (24 hours, 7 days/week) on both sides of the street.

  • Road used as staging area  

16th Street between Jefferson Street and Adams Street  

  • Section of roadway is open to two-way traffic (east and west)

  • No Parking (24 hours, 7 days per week) both sides of the street

16th Street between Adams Street and Grand Street

  • No Parking (24 hours, 7 days per week) both sides of the street

13th Street between Adams Street and Grand Street

  • No parking (24 hours, 7 days/week) signs will be placed on both sides of 13th Street between Adams Street and Clinton Street

  • Road to be closed 24 hours, 7 days/week however residents will be allowed access in from Grand St to 1300 Grant St garage. 1200 Grand St garage to be accessed via 12th Street.

  • Traffic detour: Grand St to 11 St to Adams Street

  • Access to 1300 Grand Street Building Garage:  Residents to access the 13th Street garage from Adams Street with police assistance
