NHSA Public Information Meeting and Treatment Plant Tour | Monday, October 26, 2026
Learn how NHSA is investing in critical wastewater infrastructure and protecting local waterways during a public presentation and guided facility tour.
Join NHSA on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Adams Street Wastewater Treatment Plant (1600 Adams Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030) for a public meeting followed by a guided tour of the Adams Street Wastewater Treatment Plant.
During the meeting, attendees will:
Learn how NHSA is working to reduce flooding in Hoboken, Union City, Weehawken, and West New York.
Hear updates on NHSA’s Long-Term Control Plan and efforts to improve water quality in the Hudson River.
Receive information about infrastructure projects taking place throughout the region.
Ask questions directly to NHSA engineers and staff.
Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the wastewater treatment plant and learn how the system serves our communities every day.
Heavy rainfall can overwhelm sewer systems, causing street flooding and combined sewer overflows. Through our historic Long Term Control Plan (LTCP), NHSA is undertaking strategic infrastructure investments and flood mitigation projects to strengthen the region’s wastewater system, improve resiliency, and protect the Hudson River for future generations.
The guided treatment plant tour will begin at 7:20 p.m. Visitors planning to participate in the tour should wear closed-toe shoes.
Residents interested in learning more about NHSA’s water quality and flood reduction initiatives are encouraged to attend. Additional information about the Long-Term Control Plan is available at www.nhudsonsa.com/cso-ltcp.
